For the second year in a row, Utah State's Chari Hawkins earned second-team All-America honors in the heptathlon after placing ninth in the event with a season-best 5,552 points at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Finals here Friday at Hayward Field.

Utah State's Chari Hawkins is currently in sixth-place in the heptathlon with 3,375 points after the first four events at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Finals held here Thursday at Hayward Field.

Utah State sprinter Nic Bowens finished 17th in the semifinals of the 100m at the NCAA Finals held here at Hayward Field Wednesday night with a time of 10.27, and missed out on second-team All-America honors by 0.02 seconds.

Utah State's men and women's track & field teams will be represented by juniors Nic Bowens and Chari Hawkins at the NCAA Outdoor Championship Finals in Eugene, Ore. The meet will be held Wednesday through Saturday, Jun. 11-14, at Hayward Field.
